JMH was established on October 1st, 2014 by eleven companies in order to participate and operate medium to long-term offshore production tests of pore-filling type methane hydrate in sandy sediments efficiently, effectively and smoothly.
JMH and its shareholders, which consist of the seven oil and natural gas development companies and the four plant engineering companies, form an all-Japan structure. Through this structure JMH takes the initiative in developing technologies to realize commercial development of methane hydrate with putting the shareholders’ wisdom together and sharing their knowledge among them.
